CapAble, a subsidiary of Sweden-based BioGaia, has signed a license agreement with Mass Probiotics, Sudbury, MA, giving Mass Probiotics the rights to use CapAble’s LifeTop Cap packaging solution for its beverages in the U.S. and Canada. LifeTop Cap is a bottle closure developed to create unique probiotic beverages with long shelf life. Ingredients are housed in a protective container in the cap and are first mixed in the drink at the time of consumption.
